Toy + Furniture
The Toniture (Toy + Furniture) project was designed to give children a extraordinary experience. It is inspired by the‘science box(Kr)_MECCANO(En)’that we had been playing with during our childhood. Toniture consists of various units 10 cm apart. It can be desks, chairs, and shelves with fixed by bolts and nuts. The children can build their own objects with stacking, joining, assembling each units. They are able to create the relationship between themselves and the surrounding space, while imagination is created as a real.
TONITURE(Toy + Furniture)는 아이들의 상상력 개발을 위해 만들어진 과학상자에서 영감을 받은 프로젝트이다. TONITURE는 HDF로 만들어진 다양한 크기와 모양의 보드와 철제 구조물로 구성되었다. 이 모듈들은 아이의 손에 적당한 크기의 노브 볼트와 너트로 조립할 수 있다. 아이들은 다양한 모양의 모듈을 쌓고, 조이고, 결합하며 자신만의 오브제를 만들 수 있다. 이 프로젝트는 아이들이 상상 속의 이미지를 실제 크기로 만드는 과정을 통해서 인간과 사물, 공간에 대한 실질적 경험을 이끌어낸다.

미디어 아티스트 그룹 [BLAST THEORY] 의 전시 기간중 상시 운영된 <2017 : 우리가 만드는 도시>는 도시 버전으로 제작된 TONITURE를 이용해 어린이들이 스스로 미래의 도시에 대해 탐구하는 공간을 제안했다.
